Weed barrier installed on trees

Weed Barrier Fabric

Weed barrier fabric is placed around new tree rows to help prevent the growth of weeds around the trees. Prior to installing the fabric, the site needs to be tilled in an area at least 4 feet on either side of the tree row. This will enable the machine to lay the fabric down and cover the edges with the loose dirt. Weed Barrier Fabric is installed after the trees are planted using a tractor and a machine.

Once the weed barrier is installed, periodic maintenance needs to be done to ensure weeds do not grow on top of the fabric and in the holes around the trees. A simple walk along the row and picking out small weeds a few times a year would keep your project clean of weeds and help the trees grow.
